Quality Inn Dumas

This place suits me perfectly. I enjoy the indoor pool, free parking, and 24-hour reception. The staff once gave me the best local taxi tip, which I still remember. Highly recommend for a great stay.

Good selection for breakfast - hot food, cereal, pastry, fruit, etc. Good exercise facility. The room was comfortable and large enough. They are pet-friendly - fairly rare for large chains.

Hallway smells musty and like old cigarette smoke. At least the room did not smell like that. The price was high for what Dumas and the motel have to offer. I was disappointed that there was no password for wifi access - poor security for wifi users.

We were not able to access the entry nearest our room. Reported to the front desk and they were not able to correct the situation.

Breakfast food was okay. pillows okay

Loud conversations in the hallway as late as 10:30 @ night. Breakfast area for sitting down to eat completely taken over by some folks having a meeting. Had to take our food to the individual motel room.

Building was not secure. One of the rear doors would not lock and could be pulled open without a key card. Also, should upgrade plastic ware or serve softer biscuits.

Overall great place to stay.

The hotel was clean but as soon as you walked in to the hotel lobby it smelled like cigarette smoke. Both the lobby and hallways had the same smell. The room did not have the cigarette smell though and this is a good thing.

The staff was nice.

Even though I had a non-smoking room on the 2nd floor, the smell of smoke emanated into it. I had to use a towel beneath the door to minimize the smell. Also, there was toilet paper wedge into the window by a previous person, either to reduce the smell, vibration, or sounds - who knows?

Convenient.

Telephones did not work, staff said it's been reported. Some of the lamps did not work. The fan and light in bathroom shook and were so bad that we thought they were going to come out of the ceiling. Toilet was leaking water.

Wonderful staff on reception and elsewhere. Extraordinary, individual room with a nice bathroom. Speedy check-in, parking onsite.

Location: the hotel was so close to the main highway through town, several fast food places and restaurants, and Dumas, TX. Ate at The Burger, it's just a pleasant stroll away from the venue. They offered us extraordinary and new-fashioned rooms with King sized beds and microwave, for instance.

Great customer service and clean rooms

The room wasvery comfy and tidy, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the microwave and fridge. The breakfast area could use more seating as it felt cramped at times.

We had the pleasure of staying in a King Room with our family. Amanda at the front desk was kind and helpful. The hotel was super clean.

In my wife's opinion, a stronger mattress would make for a more comfortable experience for families.

I spent a night at Quality Inn in Dumas. The room had a comfy king bed and a spacious layout. The cleanliness stood out immediately. Everything felt very hygienic. Breakfast options blew me away, from fresh fruit to a variety of pastries. Staff were super friendly, cute me warmly upon arrival and offering helpful local tips. I faced a hiccup during check-in because my reservation wasn't visible in their system. It took about half an hour to sort out, frustrating after a long drive. The noise from the adjacent rooms was noticeable late at night. Despite that, the indoor pool was a nice perk. No hidden fees for amenities. Would consider returning but hope the check-in process improves.
